Ananya_Fashionista is the Fashion Design Contest at SYMPULSE  which is the annual international college festival organized and hosted by the Symbiosis Center for Management Studies (UG), Pune. The Fashionista event puts to test the creativity, artistry, marketing skills and not to forget, the modeling prowess of the participating teams.

What To Do And How?

In the elimination round for Fashionista, participants need to create their own design portfolios using the StyleGen application of www.OyeStyle.com. They then need to use their marketing skills to popularize their portfolios online using various social mediums.

Who  Makes It To The Final Round?

The number of Facebook Likes and Page Views that each design gets will decide the top 6 teams that will qualify for the final round of Fashionista.

And yes, first 5 early-bird teams to register also get a concession of Rs. 2,000 on their accomodation at Sympulse 2011... So time to catch some fresh worms ain't it!

Now For The Rules:

First Things First:

1. Elimination round ends on January 9^th 6^th 2011
2. To qualify, each design in the portfolio should get a minimum of 30 Facebook Likes and minimum 50 page views
3. Each design needs to be tagged with the term "ananya_fashionista" to enter the competition
4. Do not forget to register on Sympulse website!

Themes for the Contest:

Each team needs to create portfolio of 5 designs around the following themes:

1. Corporate Collection
2. Winter Collection
3. Ethnic Wear Collection
4. Spring Collection
5. Freestyle Collection

Note: Any two of the above 5 need to be created using the products from the fashion-catalog on StyleGen application of OyeStyle. For the rest you can choose to use the catalog or you can upload your own images too.

Also please create 2 separate designs in each theme for men and women. 

Some hints to help you market your designs:

Popularize your designs using legitimate online marketing tricks like:

• Sharing on Facebook, Twitter, Orkut (no points for guessing this!)
• Blogging about how beautiful the designs are on your personal blogs
• Boasting about your design brilliance on different discussion forums 
• Bookmarking your designs on Digg, Delicious, Reddit
• Offline campaigning in your college. You want your team to win, don't you!
• Mailing friends "Oh please please Like this" 

Do whatever you want, but please do not spam anyone. Like you, we also hate spamming and any evidence towards the same will be dealt with the utmost strictness! 

Last But Not the Least:

Teams can edit the created designs if they choose to, however the existing Facebook Likes and Views will not be carried forward to the edited designs. You will have to start afresh with them! 

Teams/designers will be solely responsible for the originality and decency of the designs uploaded. Don't bring disrepute to yourself and your college by doing silly things! And yeah, play fair and play to win with your creativity. That is what this is all about.
